Question for NIB- The National Insurance Board Of Trinidad & Tobago

Good Afternoon. As a Short Term Contract Employee, am I entitled to loss of pay for medical reasons? If I need to do minor surgery and would need 7 days off, I won't be paid. Would I be able to get that Week's pay from NIB?
